After a global event known as The Revocation strips people of their superpowers, Grounded follows a group of former heroes trying to adjust to life without them. At a Midwestern support group called Grounded, run by a relentlessly earnest former flyer, people once capable of invisibility, flight, and fire gather in folding chairs to search for meaning in a world that no longer needs them. Into this fragile ecosystem steps Bailey, a sharp-witted outsider whose parents were killed in the mysterious Harlan Pig Massacre—and who isn’t there to heal so much as to find the truth.

As tensions rise, secrets emerge and belief systems fracture. Obsession, guilt, and buried violence begin to surface, forcing the group to confront uncomfortable questions about power, responsibility, and justice. By the time the line between support group and something far more dangerous begins to blur, Grounded asks: when power returns, who should be trusted to wield it—and was losing it the only thing keeping anyone human?
