  • Shelterskelter XIV!
    October 8th to October 31st, 2009

Shelterskelter 14 was an incredible success, thanks to strong scripts, great acting, and some very hard work by dedicated theatre folks. And let's not forget the support of the Omaha theatre community! Thanks to everyone who came to see the show and spread the word. Next year will be even better!

  • Summer Stock 2009 was a great success. Original works by Omaha local playwrights Ellen Struve and Jay Huse were featured.

  • Check out our Contacts page for more info. While you are there, consider signing up for one of our email newsletters - the "Belterblasts!" That will help you stay current on the happenings at the Shelterbelt. We would love to have you become involved with us! We are the only theatre in town dedicated to producing new and original works, mostly by local authors. You can help us out by volunteering, joining the board, spreading the word, or by becoming a Shelterbelt patron!

Exercise Your Imagination!!

  • Take a theatre class at Metro Community College. Spring registration is underway, and a variety of fun, informative and convenient classes are available. Defy convention, exploring and creating imaginative works of theatre in Playwriting II, broaden your understanding of the business side of non-profit theatre in Arts Administration, or just join us to brush up your acting and theatre history. Visit the website mcc.edu for more information, or e-mail Scott Working at saworking@mccneb.edu with questions.

As always, if you have questions about the Shelterbelt, or if you want to become more involved, just contact us!
