"Pick a starting point...a dangerous one, way up high...and just don't lose your balance."  One year ago, Arthur's oldest friend, Michael, committed suicide, the very same night Arthur met his current boyfriend, Douglas. Today, on that double-edged anniversary, the bisexual Douglas meets the mysterious Donna at a coffee shop.  Arthur is on a path of self-destruction, haunted and lost in the pain of that night, one year ago.  Douglas is torn between his love and need for Arthur and his newfound passion for Donna and her cold seductive manner.  As the relationships and the friendships surrounding them try to maintain some sort of balance in a world of cynicism and sexual promiscuity, the lives of Arthur, Douglas and those closest to them will be shaken...because Donna is far more deeply rooted into their lives than they realize.

Acrobat is a play which has taken on a life of its own.  Many familiar with the Omaha theater scene have already heard about Acrobat and are eager to see it performed.  Since 2006, Reannin Theatre Group has prepared to perform the play several times, but has encountered more than its share of obstacles along the way.  Shelterbelt Theatre is proud work with this talented group of artists to bring Salonis's work to light.
